Members & Candidates,
The ICRM is pleased to announce the John Krysa Remembrance Specialty Designation Award. The award will cover the cost of $125 for the first 40 new specialty designation applicants to apply and sit for the Federal Specialist or Nuclear Specialist Exams. Interested eligible individuals may choose to pursue the award for both the Federal Specialist and the Nuclear Specialist.
The award begins effective immediately. Eligible CRAs and CRMs may contact the ICRM office for the Specialty Designation voucher at admin@icrm.org.
John Krysa’s family generously donated an additional $5,000 in honor of John Krysa, ICRM Past President. John was an integral part of the creation of the Federal Specialty and the move towards modernizing the processes for obtaining the Nuclear Specialist.
ICRM President Melissa Dederer shares, “This new opportunity provides numerous individuals to pursue their FED and/or NS certification(s). The ICRM is extremely grateful for John’s dedication to the ICRM and the RIM profession and to his family for continuing with that dedication by providing these generous donations. John Krysa’s legacy will continue to live on through our future members and leaders.”
John Krysa, Past President of the ICRM, passed away on February 5, 2023 after a year-long fight with cancer. He will be remembered fondly as a mentor and friend. His accomplishments included initiating ICRM’s move to a new technology partner, leading the creation of the Federal Specialist Designation, and furthering our strategic partnerships with other organizations.
